What is the Northern Beacon Youth Empowerment Series?
The Youth Empowerment Series is one of Northern Beacon’s core pillars.
It focuses on structured, positive programs that build confidence, discipline, leadership, and connection among youth.
Our goal is to develop safe, welcoming, skill-building environments that empower young people — and to grow this into an ongoing program serving communities locally.
This Youth Pickleball Invitational is our pilot event.

Who can participate?
• Ages 12–15
• Must know basic pickleball rules and scoring
• Open skill level (players will be balanced into fair teams)
This is structured and slightly competitive, but welcoming.

How does registration work?
Participants register individually.
Players will be paired into balanced teams based on skill level to ensure fair and enjoyable competition.
Spots are limited to 16 participants.

What is the format?
• Structured mini-tournament
• Balanced teams
• Guaranteed multiple games
• Two indoor courts
• Supervised environment
Our goal is competitive fun — not elimination pressure.

How much does it cost?
• $15 per participant
• 3 sponsored youth spots available (first come, first served)
We aim to keep the program affordable while building something sustainable long term.

How can I make payment?
Payment can be made via eTransfer to:

Registration is confirmed once payment is received.

Are paddles and balls provided?
Yes.
Pickleball paddles and balls can be provided if your child does not have their own equipment.
There is no additional cost for equipment use.

What should participants bring?
• Athletic clothing
• Indoor court shoes
• Water bottle
• Positive attitude

Will there be supervision?
Yes.
The event is supervised by experienced organizers with athletic and structured program backgrounds.
We prioritize safety, respect, and sportsmanship.

Is this a fundraiser?
This event is part of our Youth Empowerment Series and is designed as a pilot program.
Our goal is to make this an ongoing youth initiative that strengthens confidence, connection, and leadership through sport.

Will there be more events?
Yes — that is our intention.
If this pilot is successful, we plan to continue youth pickleball events and expand into additional youth-focused programming under the Northern Beacon Youth Empowerment Series.
